The creativity ofemployees is one of key factors determining the level of innovation of the Polisheconomy. This particular issue is discussed in the articles included in the currentissue of the periodical.Czesław Sikorski focuses on the fact that the evolution of the function oforganizational culture towards high tolerance of uncertainty demands activeinvolvement of managerial staff in conscious shaping of the culture. The secondelement is the intensification of corporate training policy aimed at shaping thecompetences of coping with uncertainty, especially such competences as emotionalintelligence, broadened perception and the ability of involvement in a dialog.The significance of the above is compared by Katarzyna Piwowar?Sulej,who in her article states that the organizational culture reflected in "avoidinguncertainty" is one of the impediments to creativity. The Author identifies thecomponents of individual creativity based on the example of teachers, analyzingboth the possibilities of creating the components in a workplace and potentialrestraints.Marta Juchnowicz, in turn, puts forward an idea that creativity is thecompetence of public sector employees and is the prerequisite for the sectorefficiency. The shaping of this competence in public sector organizations requiresa consistent application of New Public Management model as well as its evolutiontowards New Public Governance. According to the Author it is the managementstyle supporting these competences that is the key significance. The articlepresents the analysis, evaluation and identification of barriers to the manager'simpact on shaping creativity the public sector employees in Poland.The functioning of various areas of public sector is the subject of empiricalresearches presented in several articles in this issue.Janusz Strużyna and Izabela Marzec analyze relationships between thesystem of leadership, quality of superior?subordinate relationship and results oftrainings in the aspects of employability, work quality and employees' effort inpublic organizations.The systemic approach to shaping organizational behaviors in public institutionbased on the Author's concept is presented by Ryszard Rutka and Małgorzata6 PrefaceCzerska.
